NEW ! "ste-fra LANC V2":
Version 2 of this remote control provides a (mis)sync display (right after power-up process) using the build-in LED segment. In addition it is displayed which of the two cameras acts first.
Missynch is displayed in 0.1 ms steps from 0ms to 1 ms and in 1 ms steps from 1ms to 4 ms. Missync larger than 4 ms is marked as error, however the remote still works up to 10 ms (PAL) missync. At a missync larger than 10ms the remote can't control the cameras any more (due to LANC protocol specifications)

Software Version 2.5:
New functions in version 2.5 (since January 2006 included in all Version 2.x):
- Timelaps recording for Photocameras
- changes shooting process at timelaps recordings - firing after 2.6 seconds to be able to process automatic settings (focus, white balance e.t.c)

Note: if you use one of the new Sony camcorders (HC5, HC7, SR1,UX1) with a remote with software 2.5 or earlier switching from CAM to Photo mode does not work since Sony changed LANC communication for this function. Therefore an upgrade to version 2.6 is recommended. All other functions in version 2.5 or earlier are not affected. You are still able to use the version 2.5 with the new Sony camcorders if you do not need the photo mode.

It is recommended to use "ste-fra LANC V2" to select a well working combination of two cameras before purchasing them.

The cameras are powered on simultanously, and both cameras run independently, which may lead to small asynchronity or syncdrift (even less than 1/10000s). This adapter converts from AV/R jack used on all new SONY camcorders to standard LANC (2.5mm) plus video out (3.5mm). This adaoter works with ALL LANC remotes using a standard LANC plug e.g ste-fra LANC V2.x and TwinBox

With this remote one is able to shoot stereo photos using the additional StereoDataMaker Software for Canon photocameras.

Supported cameras: Canon IXUS70/SD1000, IXUS800/SD700, IXUS950/SD800, A460, A550, A570, A610, A620, A630, A640, A700, A710, A720, G7. For other supported cameras please check the SDM homepage.

The remote consists of a power supply (3 AA batteries 1.5V or 3 AA rechargeable batteries 1.2V - batteries not included) and a push button as well as two USB cables (90cm)

The right angle adapter (90°) allows you to minimize the stereobase (adds only 10mm) when cameras are mounted side-by-side or upside-down. This adapter is NOT sold separate!

On request this remote is also available with more than one USB cable to be able to shoot with several cameras in order to make lenticular prints (multiview stereos) price: EUR 5.- (plus VAT) per additional cable - maximum 12 cables possible

Attention! This device works only with some Canon cameras together with StereoDataMaker.

Depending on the used model synchronisation may be less than 1/2000s (A570) or less than 1/4000s (A720) or even less than 1/20000 with some models. Flash synchronisation is possible up to a shutter speed of 1/1000s. Please read documetation of SDM for further informations.

With this Z-bar you are able to mount two Canon SD1000 upside-down achieving a stereobase of 60mm. This Z-bar has a variable stereobase (60mm to 155mm) allowing access to battery and SD card slot if cameras are slided to the the end of the bar without need to dismount them.
